Greetings to people who may come across this journal. After such a long time I'm getting back into journal entires and the like. It'll be about whatever I feel like writing whenever I feel like it.

First bit of info for this journal... On Monday I went to see the Live Action Death Note movie with people from Nerdio, a radio program related to nerdy stuff, which if you like hearing about that, they have their shows live each Wednesdays between 3pm-5pm Atlantic time on CFMH 107.3 FM if you live in Saint John, or if not, listen to the stream at www.unbsj.ca/cfmh/

My thoughts on the movie: I enjoyed it. As someone who has only seen bits and pieces of Death Note late night on YTV, seeing this movie has really gotten me interested in checking out more of the series both anime and manga. I was upset though that they showed a making of the movie before hand, kind of putting spoilers for new fans coming in and it was English voice acting over top original live action from Japan, which is something that I always have a hard time sitting through that I can just picture the voice actors in the recording booth as I am hearing it on film, though I have to give Brian Drummond credit on an excellent job as Ryuk.

i have an on the walk podcast with the people from nerdio pre and post of the movie, which you can listen at http://sixdollarcookie.mypodcast.com/index.html episode 24 titled "Apples?"

I'm not just an anime nerd, I am also a wrestling geek! I really like seeing Jericho as World heavyweight champion, although I hope CM Punk doesn't become either strictly midcarder or jobber to the stars now. This ladder match with Jericho and Michaels will really help make No Mercy a memorable show.

On the indy side of things: a promotion in my area, No Limits Wrestling had a show on Saturday at a community center and from what has been posted on their site, someone from City Hall saw the show and wasn't impressed and now NLW are not allowed to run shows there anymore. That is terrible in my opinion to see this happen. Wrestling, the good of it has always been something that helps support the community.

I'll be more than likely be doing a Lupin (pronounced Loo-pawn) has three jackets episode tomorrow. Mike and I have a great topic to talk about for this episode!

Until next time,
Ryan
